General Surgery

We pride ourselves on our detail and safety-oriented approach to anesthesia and surgical support.  Our surgical suite offers advanced, state-of-the-art surgical and anesthesia equipment that enables us to perform a wide range of surgical procedures including: elective surgery such as spays and neuters, soft tissue surgery, ophthalmic surgery, and limited orthopedic surgery.  Spays and neuters are performed with the same care and dedication as more complex surgeries.  All surgical patients are monitored throughout their entire surgery and during recovery.

Prior to surgery, all patients are very carefully screened for anesthetic risks with pre-anesthetic lab work.  To provide further safety during your pets' surgery, we recommend a pre-surgical ECG screening to rule out some cardiac issues that could arise during surgery.  The anesthetics we use are specifically tailored to your pet to provide the safest surgical procedure possible.

Our surgery days are Tuesday and Thursday ONLY and must be scheduled in advance.  See our Laser Surgery section for more detailed information regarding surgical laser service. 

SURGICAL DEPOSITS

Deposits are required for all surgical procedures performed at our hospital. and the remaining balance must be paid in full when you pick your pet up from surgery.  Please see our "Payment Policy" portion of our website for the types of payments we acccept.  

Deposits will be collected as follows;

1.    Half of the high end of the estimated amount to be collected when pets come in for the pre-op lab work.

OR

2.    When not collected as above, half of the high end of the estimate will be collected before the scheduled surgery date.

PLEASE NOTE - Failure or refusal to provide a surgical deposit will result in the cancellation of your pets’ surgical appointment.

ALL surgical deposits will be charged to your pet's account, and then applied to the balance of the surgery on the day of your pet’s procedure.

• If you need to reschedule your pets’ surgery, the deposit will be transferred and applied on the new surgical date.

• When a surgical appointment is cancelled with less than 72 hours notice, the deposit may be forfeited or transferred to a rescheduled surgery date. The deposit may also be used as a credit on the pet’s account for other services at a later date.

• If a surgical appointment is canceled the same day or the client is a “no-call/no-show”, the deposit will be automatically forfeited.*
